Changes

I am sick.  Literally.  I’m getting pretty tired of my nose, and of looking like I’ve been snorting cocaine every three seconds for a month straight.  On a happier note, I have put in my resume to the Arkansas Arts Center for an Assistant Manager position in their Museum Shop.  This job is right up my alley.  Not only is it at least somewhat art related, but it also uses my mass experience in both retail and customer service.  I have every skill stated in the add and they didn’t even mention having a degree, so I’m really hoping my B.A. in Studio Arts will help me here!  Please oh Please oh Please!!!!

While I’ve been sniffling and sneezing today, I also watched Pride and Prejudice that my friend Bekah leant me.  I didn’t cry amazingly, but I did love it.  Now if only I can find a Mr. Darcy, life would be perfect lol.  I’m also currently making Bekah’s farewell cd since she is moving up in the world and getting a job as a make-up artist at a spa in Little Rock…this post is partially for her benefit.  Baby Come Back was just bought from ITunes, but I sincerely hope she DOES NOT come back!  lol, not for any sinister purposes, I just don’t want anyone to have to come back to a job like Starbucks…that would be very sad and disappointing.  She’s a superb make-up artist and a dear girl with a snappy style.  I hope she and I will continue to be friends…I need to get better at keeping in contact with people after I quit a job.  It’s so easy to lock myself in my room and play video games.

If I get this new job, I have a list of things I want to do:

  1. Get my OWN place away from my mom…I love my mother, but I do not like being under her thumb…not to mention I want a blank canvas.  This house is filled with memories and paint jobs that were not of my choosing, and I really want to start my own life.
  2. (I love Windows Live Writer btw…I don’t even have to get online to do this blog…it’s fantastic!)  I want a new computer desk
  3. New entertainment center
  4. New dresser and bookshelf!!!!!

Who knows what’s going to happen in the near or distant future…I keep dreaming of doing my own thing in my own home, but I don’t want to forget about now.  I like friends I’ve made and the person I am.  Everything else will fall into place.  xoxo

Roommates

So, as of October, I have two new roommates.  Jennifer and Misty.  They are both around 30 and actually take care of themselves.  My past roommates were all in their early 20s and mostly women, and they were all slobs!  Not only are my roomies neat, but Misty and I have really become great friends.  I love her so much!  Yay for craigslist.com, which is where I found both of them.  :)
